The BC government has announced a $5.7 million program that will increase rebates currently being offered for the installation of EV charging stations. In mid-January, the government first announced rebates of up to $100,000 for businesses and non-profits buying electric or hydrogen buses, shuttles or light to medium-duty trucks.

Administered by the Fraser Basin Council Society, program rebates can cover up to 75% of project costs or even higher for indigenous communities.

Applicants are being encouraged not to wait as rebates are expected to be limited and reduced as the program rolls out.
