This ultra-thin recessed unit is IC and AIR TIGHT rated and with its thin profile allows installation in almost any location. It is suitable for wet locations, such as a shower and outdoors in soffits. Included with the unit is a junction box with driver, pressure fit clips and Quick Connect wire connectors for quick and easy installation. The junction box has integrated screw holes to allow the box to be secured to studs or joists, if needed. The maximum number of the 6W fixtures that can be installed with a standard 150W LED dimmer is 20 units. The 3K & 4K models replace a 420 lumen 50W halogen style bulb. This product is CSA certified in Canada and the US conforms to UL standard 1598 and CSA standard C22.2 NO. 250.0, and includes the following: The wiring compartment accommodates up to (6) 14 gauge insulated conductors to satisfy luminare junction box volume requirements. Although this product is AIR-TIGHT rated, some municipalities will require the use of a vapor barrier. Verify local building codes prior to installation.
