Description
The universal barrier panel provides a Type 1 solution to help reduce the risk of electrical hazards such as electrical shock or arc flash by adding a physical barrier inside an enclosure to separate the high voltage from the low voltage components. Designed to fit in unibody free-stand or floor-mount enclosures with centerpost, the barrier helps minimize the incidental contact or exposure to high voltage components while accessing the low voltage equipment such as controls and programming devices.
Meet UL Type 1 construction requirements when installed in an nVent HOFFMAN enclosure
Top and bottom barrier plates included to provide a full-depth separation
Main barrier plate has a 6-inch extender to add flexibility when mounting
Quick release hinges used to secure the main barrier plate to the top barrier plate to simplify installation
Ground stud on the main barrier plate
Designed to fit the following bulletins: A21 (excluding CPX enclosures), A28M2, A28MM, A4L3D, A4L3, A4L, A21S4 (excluding CPX enclosures), A28S4, A4S2, A4S3, A4SL
Mount to the welded or removable centerpost of an enclosure; the barrier panel cannot be installed in free-stand or floor-mount enclosures without a centerpost
