Description
Pass & Seymour Dual-Function AFCI/GFCI Receptacles are the latest innovation in electrical safety, and a code-approved alternative to dual-function AFCI/GFCI breakers. Designed to protect against electrical fires caused by arc faults and injury due to electrical shock, these new devices are compliant with NEC AFCI and GFCI requirements in kitchens and laundry areas for new construction, circuit modifications/extensions and replacement receptacles.radiant Screwless Wall Plate not included.
Protects against fire caused by arc-fault and ground fault occurrences. Unlike breaker alternatives, AFCI/GFCI outlets make it easier to fix trips with a convenient reset button on the outlet.
Protects children with a patented tamper-resistant shutter system that prevents improper insertion of foreign objects, complete with "invisi-shutters" for an invisible effect.
Test and rest buttons located on face of device at point of use, making it easier to fix trips directly on the device.
SafeLock® Protection feature: if critical components are damaged and protection is lost, power to the receptacle is disconnected
Conducts an industry-leading automatic self-test every 3 seconds. If the device ever fails, the indicator light flashes to signal it should be replaced
Extends GFCI protection to "downstream" outlets when used with feed-thru wiring configuration. Note: Will cut power to face and downstream outlets if wired incorrectly
Auto-ground clip assures a positive ground to a metal box
Compliant with NEC AFCI & GFCI requirements
Easier installation than breakers; fits any wall box; no need to match brand of breaker box
