Description
Star Teck XP® Hazardous location PVC coated aluminium jacket cable fitting with a hub size of 2 inch and will handle outer jacket diameter from 2.1 to 2.375 inch. Cable fittings are designed to accommodate a broad range of cables, thereby minimizing the possibility of mismatched cables and fittings in the field. It is suitable for use with Teck cable.
Working with engineers from the Canadian petrochemical, oil and gas industries, Thomas & Betts then introduced the STAR TECK XP fitting.
With an easy-to-fill, integral sealing chamber and a disconnectable design requiring minimal cable preparation, this fitting became the benchmark for ease of installation in hazardous environments.
A line of liquid and putty sealants was also developed at the same time, eliminating the need for the cement sealants used up to this point.
