Discover how easy it is
Custom shaped (angels and curves) NUHEAT electric floor heating mats come out of the box ready to fit the room. Installing them is easy and can be placed in directly on to the sub floor so that tiling can begin immediately. When installing your custom matt on a laminate or engineered wood floor, a thin layer of thinset should be used.
Ready to get started? Here’s a list of materials you’ll need:
- Acrylic or latex modified thinset
- Duct tape
- ¼ inch square notched trowel
- Grouting float
- Digital multimeter (ohmmeter)
- Thinset mixer
- Bucket
- Flat towel
Spread modified thinset using ¼’’x
Place custom mat onto fresh thinset, press firmly to create 100% contact between the Mat, thinset and subfloor.
Secure floor sensor probe between heating wires.
Apply a thin layer of inset and install tile/stone flooring as per manufacturer’s instructions.
