Meet Dylan Whitney, Gescan's newest Lighting and Controls Specialist. With over 15 years of industry experience, Dylan brings a wealth of knowledge to Gescan's outside sales team.   

Dylan's career has taken him from being an electrician to serving as a lighting agent and even owning a lighting showroom. His broad experience has taught him the importance of understanding customers' unique requirements and providing tailored solutions to meet their specific needs.   

"My experience ranges from lighting simple residential homes, net-zero homes, lighting designs for residential towers, hazardous warehouses and everything in between," said Dylan. Dylan's goal is to make Gescan the go-to destination for lighting in Southern Alberta while mentoring other lighting professionals.   

Dylan attributes his success to becoming a parent which has taught him empathy and patience. He incorporates these qualities into his work to ensure his clients receive exceptional service. He firmly believes that "listening first" is the key to building strong relationships. "When you take the time to listen to the customer, they know you care about them and their well-being," said Dylan.

What does Dylan like to do for fun? Dylan enjoys skiing and snowboarding in the winter months and when weather permits, running and paddleboarding.
